You are here:Fundamental Truths

All spiritual communities affiliated with the Passion Week Center are rooted firmly in the mainstream of the history of Christianity . They take the Bible as its all-sufficient source of faith and practice, and subscribe to the historic creeds of the universal church.

Together with the historic evangelical Christianity, they emphasize the work of Salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and his return as King .

They also present Christ as one who heals and they adopt the distinctive position that the testimony of our salvation in Christ(0), signs and wonders(1), prosperity(2) of the soul and body, are the norm when we get power, and walk(3) under the leading of the Holy Spirit(4) .

We also hold the essential position that baptism of the Holy Spirit and the New Birth are two separate graces. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not an end in itself but a means to achieve a life of intimacy(5) and victory in our walk with God.

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God (6) by which we understand the whole Bible to be inspired in the sense that holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture.(7) Divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of the original writings.

The whole Bible in the original is, therefore, without error and, as such, is infallible, absolutely supreme and sufficient in authority in all matters of faith and practice(8).

The Bible does not simply contain the Word of God, but is, in reality, the complete revelation and very Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit. Christian believers today receive spiritual illumination to enable them to understand the Scriptures,(9) but God does not grant new revelations that are contrary or additional to inspired biblical truth.(10)
